Industrial Micro Systems -
Other Boards
In the early 80's IMS continued to
produced S-100 boards of increasing complexity. Unfortunately information (and
images) of these bards is very hard to find. Here is what I have so far.
Pleased let me have further information on these interesting boards if you have
it.
Video Display Adaptor
I can find no documentation about this
board on the web or within my own stores. If you have anything you can add
please let me know.
I have no
information/documentation on this impressive looking board at the moment.
Winchester Hard Disk Controller
(1100)
I have currently no information about
this card also. It appears to be an upgrade of the original
HDC board they made
where now there is no need for a separate "interface board' for each drive.
I have no information/documentation on
this impressive looking board at the moment.
A465 64K Dynamic RAM Board
IMS already had a
64K RAM board
utilizing 64K dynamic RAM chips. This 64K RAM board utilized the more
common (at the time) 16K dynamic RAM chips.
No information currently
on a manual!
A971 IO Board
Looks like a very useful board.
Presumably it had a real time clock on board because of the battery. Would like to
find out more about it.
Z80 A1270 Master/Slave Board
Looks like a very interesting board. Has
anybody got the manual?
256K Dynamic RAM
This 256K dynamic RAM board was
made to work with the above CPZ board but since it was IEEE-696 compatible it
should work in most later S-100 systems. The board utilized 4164 dynamic RAM
chips (150ns) with an access time of 225ns. The board could be bank
selected into 16 banks of 16K each on the bus. Other options were 8X32K or
4X64K. The board had onboard parity checking hardware which could trigger
and interrupt if an error occurred.
The brochure for this board can be
obtained
here.
1 MG Dynamic RAM Board
I have no information/documentation on
this impressive looking board at the moment.
