XCOMP -- History
XCOMP Inc. was setup by Douglas Huggard in the late 70's. They were a small
specilized shop that as best I can tell only produced a Hard disk controller
board for the S-100 bus. They appeared on the scene for only 2-3 years. That
said, their hard disk controller was excellent, high quality and allowed a
number of us to quickly and easily get a functional hard disk system going
on our "generic" S-100 systems. There provided well documented source
code to format, test and run a disk system with CP/M. They were located on
Trade St. in San Diego, CA.
Currently I have no further information about the company, its founders or
what happened to them. If you have information you would like to share
please let me know.
