RE: [N8VEM-S100:6041] Dual IDE/CF V2a

Mine is version 02, and I noted the LED labels were incorrect.  I compensated by “crossing” R30 and R31 so they drove the opposite LEDs, thus making the labels correct.  This is one of the hardware issues I discovered as I was building my board a few months ago.  As promised, I am trying to find enough time to pull out my notes on the other changes I made to the board.  Hoping to get to that this weekend.

Last time I worked on it, my board was working with the MyIDE program using what I think is a Syba IDE-CF adapter and a SanDisk 8MB CF card.  I had not succeeded in getting it to work in CPM2.2.  At the time I thought it was most likely bugs in my BIOS.  As I mentioned a few days ago on this list, I have put making this work with CPM2.2 on the back burner in favor of getting a new CPM3 system running, since it appears to me that I may have an easier time with configuring the BIOS in CPM3 for this board.

Regarding chips: My 7403’s are actually 7403.  My 8255 is a plain 8255, not CMOS, not dash anything.

My CPU is a 4MHz Z80 on a CCS 2810 card.

John will be the definitive source but I think the "a" was a silkscreen change only regarding LED labels.

Mine says "02".  Is that the problem?  Am I screwed??
