I would love a west coast event.  

I think the big issue is that such an event could get VERY large VERY quickly.

I have wondered about doing an N8VEM-S100 less-formal event, rent out an American Legion hall or something like that up near Monterey or maybe somewhere near where Vector Graphics was in Thousand Oaks down near me and bring our hardware and have some drinks

Setting up vendor areas, making sure vendors have sellers permits, etc, is a big part of the work in these events so if we did a less formal event it might be less work.
