Re: [N8VEM-S100:5936] SOIC Packages For S100 Boards - Survey Question

Not that my opinion affects this group's projects, but
here's my input for the 'older crowd'.

I've been an electronics hobbyist since the 70's, but now
I'm 50 and my eyesight isn't what it used to be. I have
to use extra light & magnification. I have done fine pitch
work in the past, but now I avoid it.

I have tremors in my hands as well, but alcohol does help
and I can control it when I need to. Plus I like whiskey ;-)

I've done hot air and if you have the right tools, it's easy.
I've adjusted my hobbies & skills to my physical abilities, but
I still like to 'play!'

If I was building one, SMD chips would not be an issue as I have the proper equipment to install and remove them. Others may not want to invest that much.
