Don,
I am against using SOICs because I use sockets on all my installed IC's. I realize that many people don't use sockets because of reliability issues and prefer to solder chips to the board. However, I find that high quality double wipe sockets such as AMP or Robinson-Nugent have been reliable for me and I love the convenience of being able to swap a faulty chip in seconds. Just my 2 cents as I realize that others may have other ideas. Regards, Jeff On 12/31/2014 4:15 PM, Don Caprio wrote: I'm curious how you guys feel about using SOIC chips |
