Neil, I confirm I had to do no mods on my board to get the tight print loop working. It's probably a different revision.
John,--The ROM is a 2732. My board is an early validation board that I worked directly with Andrew on. It's an early enough board it doesn't have gold plated fingers on the S-100 connector.
