Hi John Since I'm using the 2-port serial I/O board at A0H, with the Z80 cpu and Master monitor, and the 4Meg ram bd (with 2 chips set for 64K RAM), plus your ZFDC and IDE cards and the whole thing seems to be running well with the Monitor... Seems like the time to try to get CPM going. Not sure if your disk images will work, since I think your console is at 0H. I found the CPM source here http://www.uxpro.com/cpm/www.cpm.z80.de/source.html . I know the BIOS has to know the params for my 3.5 or 5.25 in. floppies (not to mention the 80 Meg HD), and I know I have to patch the terminal I/O. Would you have some useful info for me to work from? I tried to read the HD and 3.25 inch DD floppies written my Andrew's SBC system, (which I had no problem building); but I get read errors on these from the S100 system- maybe the disk format is wrong, or the CPM operating system is not where it is expected to be for S100? Also, I used SIMH to patch the MYIDE rom data to test my hard drive, and it seems ok. Help please, if you have some time. I just copy User group 0 *.* [S] across and then use HSYSGEN (ZSYSGEN for floppys), which puts system boot on CFCARD or floppy. Remember to do ERA *.* on a new CF card to cleanup the directory sector(s) on a windows formatted card before doing anything else. their are files on User 0-->6, its CP/M 3.0 banked
Both boot fine if ZFDC is installed, but if your remove it, JM2 boot correct, JM1 has a booting issue, well continue to re-boot... works best if both CF are installed. CP/M 3.0 Banked. files on User 0 are different on the cards, other user look the same. Boot with A: IDE-1, B&C 8in Floppy, D 5 1/2 floppy, E MDisk (1mb), F 2nd IDE, G ST506 Dsik drive

To add to the story: - the disk images created this way can be read from & written to by the Simh N8VEM emulator, which has become my main file import/export mechanism.
- The cpmtools can also work on the images (although I still have a problem with the settings actually).
- Also, the same image file/CF card can be used interchangeably on my Zeta/Prop board, the Disk I/O board and the PPIDE.
It's a very nice side-effect from the unified RomWBW approach.
I did have problems with some CF cards that Win32diskimager did not want to write images to. In those cases, a simple format under Windows fixed the problem.
Lastly, the Win32diskimager always makes an image of the entire CF card. It would be nice if it only imaged to first 256MB or so - then you could exchange images to CF cards of various sizes. And actually, partitions beyond the 256MB would then be left untouched.

I have use it to copy John Monahan, CF card for his S100 IDE board and Zeta CF and SD cards,
To use I start the program...
Insert a CF or SD card into your card reader... (after the program is started)
If Windows want to take some action on the card, say cancel to it message.
To Read a card, Select an image file name: ie: mycard, set the path with the small box with a folder on it...
In the device box, select the device letter for the CF/SD card... Be sure you know what drive your writing too!... Check the drive letter twice!!
Click READ to read the card...
When finish, select the MD5 button to generate an MD5 Hash of the card...
I keep only the last 6 digits of the hash and write this on the master CF/SD card image when I make one.
I also add it to the file name: mycard_md5hash so that I remember it. The MD5 is generated from the FILE image,
NOT from the card!
I Always read a new card twice, to a 2nd file name, ie: mycard1, to check that the MD5 hash is the same!
To Write a card, select the file-image to write into the Image File Box, select the device letter
Then write..
When its finish, I always read it back to a NEW file name, ie: mycard2 to check that the MD5 hash is correct.
