RE: [N8VEM-S100:3580] New run of S-100 EPROM/RAM boards...

Hi

I uploaded the latest S-100 RAM & ROM board (aka S-100 EPROM) to the wiki.  I don’t know if this includes the most recent list of changes or not.  I think the last time it was updated was last December.

If someone wants to take a try at updating it further feel free.  Please post the updated EDA files on the wiki.  Thanks and have a nice day!

These are tweaks for the newer "RAM & ROM" board?  That's the one we are going with (the one with the battery).

I didn't realize there was an improved board at first.

Hopefully Andrew has time make these changes.

Guys that board has  been superseded by the “RAM & ROM” board. See here:-

There is nothing particularly wrong with that board (except it is somewhat a bit of a pain to figure out the correct jumpers) but the newer board has things much more organized  and has onboard battery backup capability for the static RAM.  While it is fine as is, there are a few really minor tweaks that would be nice:-

1.       Connect pin 12 of U1D to pin 6 of P31

2.       Have ground pin option for pin 20 (CE) of U123

3.       Change the order of pins on K2 to avoid the need for wire-wrap

4.       Remove bA14 label on U100 and U101 and join U100 pin 28 to U101 pin 28 (both go to P14,7).

If Andrew has time to splice these in, it might be worth waiting for. If so let’s call this board “V2 “
