RE: [N8VEM-S100:6781] VCF West

Was just at the NJ East Cost VCF.  The “guy in charge”  did not get his name, mentioned at the start of the meeting they were “thinking of doing” a West Coast show.  This was my first time at the NJ event.  Was frankly a bit disappointed, The talks were in tents, fortunately it was warm and only raining that morning.   Some of the talks were good,  however some listed speakers did not show.  There was little/almost none S100 stuff but a good collection of PDP stuff/people.

Would love to have the time to setup and run a west coast “Old Computers Show”  (VCF is copyright apparently!!)  in the bay area, but there is now way I could get the time.  Could help, but others would have to spearhead a project like this.  Can only assume there would be a way bigger attendance as S100 boards etc.

Don,

I think it's time to take matters into your own hand....
How many existing computer museums are there on the west coast?
See if any of them are interested in the idea.
Are you anywhere near Dave Freeman's museum?  http://www.thepcmuseum.net/
Or Digibarn?  http://www.digibarn.com/

Regards,
Josh
