Just by way of advanced info., I have just finished writing a small program that utilizes the Console-IO board to take any Telnet/Xmodem formatted .COM, .BIN etc program (typically written on a PC) to load it into RAM from 1K up to the top 16M addresss space of the S-100 bus. I utilizes our Z80 CPU board wits its 16K > 64K window for addresses above 64K. There is no code size limit. It could probably be squeezed into a ROM if needed a lot BTW, would ~500 bytes if menu text etc. is reduced. I have been using it to write/run a monitor for our upcoming 80386 S-100 CPU board. Just finishing a monitor with protected mode stuff utilizing the CPU breakpoint registers – nice, but a steep learning process! Hope to get it all written up next week. Stay tuned.
