That may in fact be it Frank. The current version is V3.0 on the S100Copmputers.com web site.
If that does not work you need to determine where the problem is. If you fill RAM with 0’s and Boot MSDOS, are you even loading in the first sector at boot address in RAM.

it is possible that i have an older firmware loaded for my ZFDC board?
I find only hex-files with the 2.8 version string in it.
I see in source code, that from the version 2.9 on, the IBM floppy formats 1.2MB and 1.44MB are added.
This could maybe my problem??
