Re: MSDOS Support V2 PCB RTC problem.

Hello Gary,
i have equal problems to start the DS12885.
I was able to set the time over the z-rtc.com program, but the clock doesn't advance.
The 32.768KHz crystal doesn't swing. A closer look into the datasheet offers register A with the bit 5,6,7 to start the oscillator.
i run the z-rtc.com and use "9 =set ram value", "RAM address =0AH", "RAM Value = AAH".
Then the DS12885 advance the seconds and seem to work now.
With an value in 0aH of 00H i get the oscillator to stop.
The time/date shown in the 8086 Monitor V10.3 is correct and advance.
But i am not able to set the time/date from here.
Always the old values of time/date are shown.
