Yeah, I could get the scope out, but not tonight...

The original linear power supply was damaged in shipping when
I bought it so I put in all new switchers.  It has been running 
stable with another board set for years.

Can you check how much ripple you are getting on the 8V supply? 

I really can't think of what else to check. Your RAM is testing good now, right? 

Is anyone else having this problem?
