Hi! The functionality is identical but I
think there is another bit IO port to enable the switching between the first
and second IDE slots.
The S-100 IDE V2 board also has the TIL311
diagnostic LEDs which are new.

I've been meaning to ask - are these functionally much different than the v1
IDE boards? I ask because I have three of those waiting to be assembled. Yes, I
