All — I’m trying to clear some projects off of the bench and I have a couple of quick questions on the V2 of the S100 backplane. First, and I should probably know this, but do I need to isolate the transistors and regulator from the board? I have the mounting kits but just checking. Second, the heat sinks specified in the parts list overhand the edge of the board. Was this an error in the BOM or what are others doing in this regard? I may have some smaller heatsinks laying around that I could use. The one on the TIP29 comes really close to the adjoining resistors. Third, since the board is a 12-layer board, the pins on many of the components (the SIP resistors particularly) do not go all the way through the board. Since the holes are PTH, it should be OK. Thanks! Happy 4th all! Rich -- Rich Cini Collector of Classic Computers Build Master and lead engineer, Altair32 Emulator |
