Re: [N8VEM-S100:7238] Identify Eagle Spirit II molex connector

Jeff,

Jameco used to stock the T handle tool for MTA connectors.
I found it at Mouser.com. I assume this can insert and replace individual wires.
It is on their web catalog on page 2274, AMP tools and accessories.

“T” Handle Maintenance Tool

Hi Jeff,

These look like the Molex connectors but they are not.  These are AMP connectors (now called TYCO).
They are called MTA connectors (Mass Termination A?).  They come in .1" and .156", aka MTA-100 and MTA-156.  Here's the Digikey part number: A31300-ND

The only problem is that you need this special tool to correctly crimp the wire inside.  Unless you can mimic the 3 prongs that push the wire in as shown in Pic 3?

Perhaps someone can help me identify this connector for the power to the mother board on a lugable I'm trying to get running (again).

Here is a page on my wiki showing some my original first MS/DOS computer, an Eagle Spirit II portable, and the connector.

I bought a connector from Jameco. It has the correct pitch 3.96mm and would do with some soldering, splicing and crimping. I'd like to replace it with the correct connector shown in the following image. Any ideas on what this style or series of connector is called?
