Hi Paul

Yes, basically I crashed and burned this past winter and spring.  Recovering now though and I’d like to get going on boards again.

Trading/selling PCBs on the forum is OK.  There is nothing wrong with it as best I can tell.  Plans change and things don’t work out like we would hope sometimes so I think trading/selling the PCBs is way better than letting them gather dust on a shelf.

The S-100 6502 CPU V2 board is complete and ready to go.  However, I still cannot “carry” much in the way of inventory of boards so we are going to have to proceed slowly for a bit.

How about this for a plan to get moving again: any builder interested in an S-100 6502 CPU V2 board just please go ahead and send the PayPal for the board(s).  Pretty much the usual deal except I will let the funds pile up for a bit.  Then as soon as they are close enough I’ll make the PCB order – in advance rather than in arrears as per usual.

Please put “S-100 6502 CPU V2” in the PayPal subject line so I know which ones are for the PCB manufacturing order.

Shipping in the US is $3 for a single PCB and $2 for each additional PCB.  Shipping internationally is $10 for a single PCB and $3 for each additional PCB.  This is for the bare basics USPS first class postage with no tracking or insurance.  The builder assumes all risk of delivery as per usual arrangement.

If you would like one or more S-100 6502 CPU V2 PCBs please send a PayPal to LYN...@YAHOO.COM

I will get enough boards to fill all the orders and any remaining will get dropped on VCGM and eBay like a hot rock.  Hopefully this plan will move the PCBs along quickly enough so they don’t pile up and cause problems.

Does anyone object to this new approach?  If you are uncomfortable with it then you can always just wait until the pre-payers go first and then pick up a board from the extras.

There are other S-100 boards in the works.  John and I have been working on boards although at a reduced level.  I think the S-100 80286 CPU board will be next assuming this works out.  Then probably the S-100 ParallelIO board which is a brand new design.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Andrew Lynch

Still interested in the S100 6502 board here, but that activity seems to have "run off its rails" :-<.

I'm good for a couple 4PIO and a full set of 6x0x boards (I see the backplane only is in stock).  I don't have any time at all, "right now", but they would make a good winter project.  Back when it was new, I did a LOT of OS-9 so you can guess what I'd be focusing on porting.  How much I remember after quarter century is another question.  I could have pulled it off in '84 for sure, but in 2014 not so sure.

A trade thread or wiki page might be interesting.  For example if someone bought one of the above but turns out not to want to build it, or can't, or whatever, they're out $22.  I'm willing to paypal someone a total $30 for any of the above, they pay postage, with the requirement that they're undamaged, not soldered, basically untouched as shipped by Andrew originally.  So I'm giving them back their original money and buying them a beer for their time at the post office.  I am uninterested in assembled or partially assembled boards at this time; a Huge part of the appeal to me is putting them together.
