Oh, my. I used to work on 11/34's thru VAX 11-780's and HP 2100 thru the MXE's for Southern Bell/ at&t. We had core memory in some of the machines, but mostly semiconductor memory. Many of our disk drives were the "latest", with 300+ meg remover multi-platter disk packs. Neat stuff to work on. I did component-level troubleshooting in those days. [insert pic of my daydreaming of days gone by]. Those were the days! It would be nice to have a PDP-8 with tape reader and teletype. Leonard From: n8vem...@googlegroups.com [mailto:n8vem...@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Eric Osman I know what you mean. I'd love to have a PDP 11/34 like the one I used to work with. That sure is a sweet looking unit on ebay. -----Original Message----- Back in the day, the fist computer systems I used were an HP2000 Access System -- -- |
