Hi John, I have Tom and Matt offering one of their V1 Propeller boards... if you wish to reconsider parting with yours, I can get one from Matt, since I'll be seeing him in person in about 3 weeks. Regards, Josh

There is a patch area and description here:- http://s100computers.com/My%20System%20Pages/Console%20IO%20Board/Console%20IO%20Board.htm as to how to add it to the V1 board. Keyboard interrupts are really needed for MSDOS. Dare I say the board is very reliable and configurable for almost any port and status bit(s) combination, but is crying out for a good Propeller programmer to spice it up. I just got in the VDP video boards a (and ISA converter boards). I’m checking these out before I send them out to people – a few days. I’ll include your Propeller board in the package. As to the Propeller itself, if you are not familiar with Spin and the Propeller language you will have to climb the learning curve to spice up the boards software. The video output is a downloaded program see the Parallax web site http://www.parallax.com/ and http://propeller.wikispaces.com/Software for example. You will need to get the Propeller chip and serial ROM (Jameco has them – and many others). While I (or others can burn the serial ROM), if you are going to do any serious programming you need to get the Propeller “ProPlug”, you will be burning 10’s of times! I theory it’s possible to use the serial port but it’s a real pain to get working. All this is explained on the above web page. John Well, I'm still putting together ideas for version 2... so how do I make it compatible with the first version of this propeller board? Are there any significant differences between the first version of the propeller board and the latest? Does anyone have a blank board I can build?
Cheers, Josh
