Linear DC power supplies are fairly straight forward to repair and restore, far easier than Switch-Mode Power Supply (SMPS) repair.
There has been substantial consolidation in electronics component manufacturers over the past 40 years.

Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors (Screw Terminal, Radial) are readily available, but can be expensive if you
are looking for rarer values (mFd) or Voltages (VDC).
You can go HIGHER in Voltage (~40, 50, 60 VDC), which are more common (available), and often cheaper in cost.

Electrolytic Capacitors have a FINITE Load-Life at a specific temperature.
For my electronic restorations (radios, appliances), 
equipment older than 1980 is an automatic candidate for potential replacement.

Cornell Dublier Electronics (CDE) based in USA, with plants in US and around the world --
should be your Primary Supplier.

Sprague was acquired by Vishay.  
Mallory's electrolytic capacitors were acquired by CDE in 1990s, with Vishay/Sprague acquiring other types.
