Re: S100 Z80 CPU Board

Don -

That sounds like the "Earlier" V2 board.  The later run I had fabricated doesn't have any code, and also has jumper JP10 added.

1K resistor nets worked fine for me.

Unicorn Electronics carries the 7805 in TO-3 format.  You can also use LM309 or LM323 - both of which came in a TO-3 format.

Jameco carries the LM323K

Mouser carries the LM309K and LM323K, but sit down before you look at the price.

Don't order LM323K from China unless you like counterfeit IC's.

I'm not sure which version of John's Z80 board I have.

Couple questions:

1) Can the 1.1K Resistor nets be substituted with 1K ?
2) Where in the world do I get the 7805 in the TO-3 package? Tried
mouser, Jameco, digi-key.
3) How do I tell what version of the board I have? I see UL code:
E336755 GC-D1 94V-0  0512

Cheers!
